How to Be Active in SKCAS

New Members Start Here

First of all, in case I haven't made it very, very clear: I am sooooo excited to have you join us!
We have many events happening in the near future; you can check them out at our calendar. Even if you can't make it, please at least RSVP "no" (that will cut down on the amount of email Meetup.com generates to you too!). Guests are usually more than welcome, as well!

You can see at the top of this page is a list of options for different pages on this site. If you click on Learn More, you'll find our Frequently Asked Questions, our Dues Policy, and information about me, your Organizer!

Here's a shortcut to many of our Meetup pages (all of which can be accessed from our Meetup homepage), and a quick description of why each page might be useful:

Files: Here you can find past issues of our newsletter, useful files, and other helpful things!

Polls: Here you can find share your opinion and feedback about various topics.

Photos: Here you can view photos from our previous events.

Money: Here you can keep track of where donations, dues, and workshop fees are being used.

Calendar: Here you can not only see all of our events, but you can also RSVP for them.

Message Boards: Here you can review information about upcoming events as well as chat with other members.

We also have a
Zazzle Storefront, where you can purchase SKCAS Merchandise.

If you have a Flickr site, or are considering one, be sure to join our Flickr group.

We have a Google calendar for this group, so if you would like to have access to it, just
email me and I'll add you to the list. The calendar is more convenient for synching with phones and other calendars than our Meetup calendar.

We have a suggested donation of $6 per person annually in addition to our additional workshop costs. You can find out more about that policy
here.

One last thing I'd like to mention, is that while our group doesn't require ANYone to meet a certain participation level in Meetups, we do ask that you log into the
SKCAS Meetup Webpage at least once every two months. This lets us see how serious people are about participating, and helps us plan our venues and events better. Thanks for understanding, and please if you have any questions about this please ask.

Again, thanks for joining, and please feel free to contact me directly anytime at
alecia.rivas@gmail.com.

I really am excited to have you on board!! :)
